About 40 Churches of Christ In The Central Region Benefit From Media & IT Training.
A one-day Media & IT Training Seminar was organized for the Churches of Christ in the Central Region with a call on Church leaders to leverage on technology to push the frontiers of the gospel of Christ.
The training seminar was organized by Click Communications Limited [CCL] an IT firm based in Accra. The event was held at Cape Coast Central Church of Christ last Saturday.
In all about 40 local congregations participated in the training seminar.
Speaking on the theme “Empowering the Lord’s Church with ICT Tools in this Digital Age” , Evang. Ablorh Albert Adjetey, minister of Chapel Hill Church of Christ urged the participating Churches to take advantage of the opportunity to learn and adapt IT solutions to improve their church administration and to advance the gospel.
A Human Anatomy lecturer at the University of Cape Coast, Dr. Eric Aidoo who chaired the seminar emphasized the need for Churches to embrace the wind of change and adapt IT solutions to enhance church growth; adding that Christians must view the new media as a blessing to the church in reaching the dying souls at speed with the salvation message of Christ.
Participating churches were taken through ICT tools including church management systems, online and offline applications for evangelism and web content management.
As part of the benefits for participating in the training seminar, each church received a professionally designed church website and a communication system [Bulk SMS, Multimedia Messaging and Bulk Voice Call integrated system] all for free.
They were also given a Church Management System, Video and Audio Editing Software and Easy Worship Software at a token fee.
The church management system has 25 service modules including attendance clocking system, membership data management, financial management system, church asserts records keeping and more; plus video tutorials for all the softwares to guide users.
Speaking at the end of the training seminar, Executive Officer of CCL, Mr. Lord Asante Fordjour,  said that the Media & IT Training Seminar was a project being organized for Churches of Christ as a contribution to the growth of the Lord’s Church in Ghana.
“Last year we organized similar Media and IT training seminar for Churches of Christ in Greater Accra Region of which 85 Churches benefited from the program. This year, we intend to cover 10 regions with the central region being the first” , he explained.
The next port of call for the CCL team is in Ashanti Region; four seminars have been scheduled at the following venues;  Obuasi Central Church of Christ on Friday 6th March,  Breman Church of Christ on Sat.14th March, Mampong Central Church of Christ on Sat. 21st March and Bekwai Church of Christ  on  Sat. 28th March 2020.
